CURRICULUM STATEMENT
The school ensures that the curriculum meets the requirements
of the national curriculum but is also tailored to meet the requirements
of each pupil. It reflects the unique character, circumstances and
ethos of the school and the community it serves.

In addition there are three option groups:
- Option Group A - containing the Humanities.
- Option Group B - containing the creative subjects.
- Option Group C - containing a Modern Foreign Language
(French and/or Spanish) and Technology.
Each pupil will choose one subject from each Group.
At secondary school level assessment will be recorded at the end
of year 9 (age 14) and at the end of year 11 (age 16) i.e. at the
end of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- A week's work experience for years 10 and 12.
- Mock interviews by local employers and business men and women
for pupils in years 11, 12 and 13.
- An Understanding Industry Conference for year 12 pupils.
- A series of lessons for year 10 pupils on Industry and the World
of Work as part of the Personal and Social Education programme.
- 'Preparing the Way' Conference for year 11 pupils.
