RM EasyLink 2 allows users to access the schools' computer network from home or any other remote location that has an Internet connection, such as a local library. This means that pupils, teachers and members of the wider local community can gain access to selected network resources such as personal files and shared areas outside school hours.

Educational Benefits

The school intranet, My Documents area and Learning Resources can be available to pupils at any time extending the learning experience outside school hours.

Assignments can be made available to pupils who can access them, work on them off-line and then submit their finished document from outside school. This flexible method of working can empower pupils to study independently and learn to manage their own time more effectively. In addition, pupils who are unable to attend school can continue their studies whilst still benefiting from teacher input and advice.

Evening class students and parents can also be given access, providing an effective and powerful means of extending the learning experience into the local community.
